My name is Albert Wain, and I’ve spent the past 22 years exploring the visual language of painting. I believe art is a living thing, and I let curiosity guide me just as much as technique.

While I often return to familiar subjects, koi ponds rippling in moonlight, harbors glowing at dawn, or the quiet stillness of a fading sky, I’m always open to experimentation. Some days the work demands bold, vivid strokes; others, something softer, more meditative.

Painting, for me, isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence. It’s about offering a moment in time to anyone who stops to look at it.

I work from my studio near Buffalo, NY, where each painting begins with a feeling. Whether sparked by the color of the air just before a storm or the way light dances on water, that feeling becomes the foundation of every piece. I want the viewer to sense that spark, too, to feel not just what is seen, but what is felt as well.

Thank you for visiting my work.
