I have long been captivated by the strength and presence of the American bison. Years ago, while living near the Great Salt Lake, I would visit Antelope Island with my sons to watch the herds move across the open land. Living now outside Buffalo, NY, I continue to feel their majesty close at heart.

With each painting, I return to that sense of awe, the brushwork becoming a way to honor these powerful animals and the landscapes they inhabit.
